Mammootty Joins the Set of Nithish Sahadev's New Film

Chennai: The renowned Malayalam actor Mammootty has officially joined the crew of director Nithish Sahadev's much-anticipated film in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, as confirmed by the production team.

This untitled project, currently referred to as #MammoottyKampanyProductionNo9, is being produced by Mammootty's own production company, Mammootty Kampany.

The production house took to social media to celebrate Mammootty's arrival on set, exclaiming, "The Much Awaited Day! 'M' Joins Our Production No.9 Directed by Nithish Sahadev. #Mammootty #Mammukka #NithishSahadev #MammoottyKampany."

A video clip showcasing Mammootty's arrival on set was also shared by the makers.

Just a week prior, the film's team announced the start of filming in Karaikudi, stating, "The wait is over! MammoottyKampany Production No. 9, directed by Nithish Sahadev, has officially begun today in Karaikudi. We appreciate your love, blessings, and support as we embark on this exciting journey. Stay tuned for more updates!"

Additionally, a behind-the-scenes clip was released, featuring the crew capturing key scenes on the first day of filming.

The film has generated significant buzz, especially following the success of Nithish Sahadev's previous project, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, which starred Jiiva and was a major hit in Tamil cinema.

After the success of Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, Nithish Sahadev announced his collaboration with Mammootty for this upcoming film last year. He shared a photo with Mammootty and his team on Instagram, stating, "Next padam with Mammookka. Directed by Myself. Written by – Anuraj Ob & Myself. The film was officially launched two weeks ago with a grand pooja ceremony, which was also announced on Instagram by Mammootty Kampany. Interestingly, the filming schedule for #MammoottyKampanyProductionNo9 commenced on the same day that actor Dulquer Salmaan, Mammootty's son, celebrated his birthday.
