Lisa Kudrow, the renowned Hollywood actress, recently expressed her discomfort in watching her beloved sitcom Friends in front of her family. The 62-year-old star prefers to enjoy episodes of the show alone after her husband, Michel Stern, goes to bed. Kudrow portrayed the quirky Phoebe Buffay in the iconic series, and she finds solace in watching reruns, especially as a way to remember her late co-star, Matthew Perry, who passed away nearly three years ago.


Finding Solace in Friends After Matthew's Death


During her appearance on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, Kudrow shared that she often watches Friends at night, admitting, "I haven't seen a lot of episodes." She waits for her husband to fall asleep because she feels embarrassed watching it in front of others. She clarified that he is aware of her fondness for the show.



Interestingly, Kudrow noted that she didn't watch many episodes during the original airing due to her busy filming schedule. She reminisced about the early seasons, stating, "Only the first couple of seasons because we were busy. I don’t think any of us watched every episode."

In a separate interview on Capital FM, Kudrow mentioned that after Perry's death, she found comfort in watching Friends marathons, stating, "It makes me laugh, and there he was." She praised Perry's comedic talent, saying, "He was so funny, I mean, the funniest." Reflecting on her current viewing experience, she described it as "important, kind of healing." Kudrow recently reached the finale of season eight, where Rachel and Ross welcome their daughter, Emma. The series aired from 1994 to 2004, comprising 236 episodes, and Kudrow takes pride in her role in the show.
