Now, after a gap of 17 years, the beloved series is making a comeback with its second season, featuring both returning cast members and new faces to represent the younger generation.


Returning Cast Members

The original cast is back to reprise their iconic roles, including: Smriti Irani as Tulsi Virani, Amar Upadhyay as Mihir Virani, Shakti Anand as Hemant Virani, Ritu Chaudhary as Shobha Virani, Hiten Tejwani as Karan Virani, Gauri Pradhan as Nandini Virani, and Kamalika Guha Thakurta as Gayatri Virani.


Introducing New Characters

The new season will also introduce fresh talent, with Rohit Suchanti playing Angad Virani, the son of Tulsi and Mihir. Shagun Sharma will portray Paridhi Virani, their daughter, while Aman Gandhi takes on the role of Hrithik Virani, their second son. Additionally, Tanisha Mehta will appear as Vrinda Patel, Angad's love interest.

She emphasized the show's pioneering approach to sensitive topics like marital rape and euthanasia, which were rarely addressed in mainstream media 25 years ago. Kapoor noted, 'We created prime time television with a female producer at the helm, breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry.'
