Krithi Shetty's Perspective on Film Industry Work Hours

Chennai, Dec 8: Renowned actress Krithi Shetty, a prominent figure in both the Tamil and Telugu film sectors, shared her thoughts on the diverse nature of the cinema industry. She emphasized that the decision to work for a specific number of hours, whether it be eight or more, is subjective and varies from individual to individual.

In a recent interview, Krithi, who stars as the female lead in the upcoming film 'Vaa Vaathiyaar' directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, addressed the ongoing discussion regarding some actresses advocating for an eight-hour workday while others are open to longer hours.

She stated, "Cinema has never been a one-size-fits-all industry. Each person is unique, and their working styles differ. No two actresses are alike, as their approaches to their craft can vary significantly. It ultimately comes down to what suits each individual best."

Further illustrating her viewpoint, Krithi mentioned, "Personally, I can work around the clock if needed, as I have the energy and fewer family obligations. I am open to working long hours, even up to 13 hours if the director requires it. During the filming of this project, I managed double shifts between Hyderabad and Chennai. Currently, I am eager to work due to my energy levels. However, if someone prefers not to, I don't view that negatively."

She also pointed out that clarity regarding working hours is crucial. "If both the director and producers are aware beforehand that an actor is willing to commit to longer hours, then there should be no issues. If not, they can seek someone else. It's all about individual preferences, and discussing these matters in advance is healthier for everyone involved."
