The Victoria Police have confirmed that detectives from the Melbourne sexual offenses and child abuse investigation team (SOCIT) are looking into an alleged historical sexual assault that reportedly occurred in Melbourne in 2010.

Authorities have indicated that the alleged incident took place at a licensed venue in Melbourne’s central business district.
