Siddhanth Kapoor Receives Legal Relief

As reported by Bar and Bench, the Karnataka High Court has granted Siddhanth permission to quash the FIR and halt further proceedings in the drug case linked to a rave party in Bengaluru. Justice M Nagaprasanna, in a ruling dated July 9, determined that the prosecution's case relied heavily on questionable urine tests conducted by a private lab.

The court also highlighted procedural errors in how the blood and urine samples were managed by the private hospital. Initially, police claimed that Siddhanth's urine sample tested positive for cannabis and cocaine. However, he has consistently denied these allegations, asserting that he did not knowingly consume any drugs. Following his arrest in 2022, Siddhanth was granted bail as no drugs were found on him.
