Mumbai, Oct 22: Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has shared insights into his romantic life, expressing a desire to find a partner to share everyday experiences, celebrate milestones, and co-parent his children.

In a recent episode of his talk show ‘Koffee With Karan 9,’ Karan engaged in a heartfelt discussion with actor Vijay Deverakonda about his aspirations for companionship.

The conversation took an intriguing turn when Vijay inquired about Karan's personal wishes. Before Karan could respond, he encouraged Vijay to share his own aspirations. The ‘Dear Comrade’ star mentioned his relationship with actress Rashmika Mandanna, stating, “I'm going to hold Rashmika's hand, and you know with me she's safe.”

When it was Karan's turn to share, he candidly expressed his longing for a meaningful relationship, although he acknowledged that marriage might not be feasible for him at this stage.

“I would like to have a partner. I would like to be in a relationship. Marriage, I think, technically may not be a possibility,” he shared.

Karan elaborated on his relationship expectations, emphasizing the importance of sharing daily experiences, celebrating significant life events, and fostering a sense of belonging. He also highlighted the need for a partner who would actively participate in parenting his ten-year-old twins, Yash and Roohi.

“So somebody who can share the nothings of my day with, someone who I can celebrate the somethings of my life with, someone who can be an equal parent to my twins who are now ten, and somebody who I can call mine and yet feel loved and respected and also complete my life with me,” he added.

Vijay expressed his hopes for Karan's wish to come true, saying, “Let's pray to the old gods and the new and the coffee gods and the couch gods to make this happen.” Karan appeared moved by this sentiment, responding, “Yeah. I think your prayer felt real.”

Both Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna made notable revelations during their appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan 9.’
