Kangana Ranaut Weighs In on Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's Feud Over Don 3
Kangana Ranaut's Take on Stardom and Rivalries
Kangana Ranaut recently expressed that achieving stardom often comes with the inevitability of making enemies. Her comments came in response to the ongoing dispute between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar regarding the Don 3 project. During the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, she shared her thoughts on this high-profile conflict in Bollywood. The tension arose after Ranveer exited the ambitious project just days before filming was set to commence, leading to a significant fallout involving the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA).
Kangana's Insights on the Ongoing Dispute
On June 2, at a press conference for her latest film, Kangana was queried about her perspective on the Ranveer and Farhan situation. She remarked, "One cannot achieve stardom without encountering adversaries. Ranveer Singh should reflect on his journey and recognize that his rise to fame has also attracted some opposition. As one progresses in life, challenges are inevitable; a smooth path is not always guaranteed."
Sharing her own experiences, Kangana added, "I have faced numerous challenges myself. Today, I find myself in a good place, so there’s no need for concern. Everything will turn out well in the end."
Details on the Don 3 Controversy
The controversy began when it was reported that Ranveer Singh had withdrawn from Don 3 shortly before production was set to start. Directed and produced by Farhan Akhtar, the film was already in advanced pre-production stages when news of Ranveer's departure broke.
In the wake of these events, the FWICE issued a non-cooperation notice against Ranveer on May 25, 2026. This action reportedly followed a complaint from Akhtar, who claimed that the actor's sudden exit had caused losses of approximately Rs 45 crore for the film. However, FWICE president BN Tiwari later clarified that the organization was not pursuing a permanent ban on Ranveer but rather aimed to hear his side and seek an equitable resolution.
Ranveer Singh's Recent Projects
On the work front, Ranveer was last seen in Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar. He reprised his role as Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, in this spy thriller. The film, produced by Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar Films, premiered in theaters on March 19 and was a commercial success.
