Jungkook Shares Personal Struggles with Fans

Jungkook, a prominent member of the globally celebrated band BTS, recently engaged with fans during a live session on Vaver, following the group's triumphant sold-out concerts in Madrid on June 26 and 27. In this open dialogue, he addressed fans' worries about his sleep patterns and ongoing battle with insomnia, emphasizing his need for control over his personal decisions. Despite fans urging him to conclude the stream and get some rest, Jungkook expressed his appreciation for their concern, stating, "I'm sorry, but please don't tell me to go to bed. I'll sleep when I decide to."

The artist candidly discussed his struggles with insomnia, revealing that he often has difficulty falling asleep even when he desires to. He mentioned that he sometimes relies on medication to help him sleep, saying, "I appreciate that you're worried about me... but I'm just not sleepy. What can I do?" Jungkook explained that his body tends to stay active until around 2:00 a.m., reassuring fans that this is a normal aspect of his routine, clarifying, "I'm not overdoing it. I'm staying up because that's what I want to do."

While acknowledging the affection and concern from his fanbase, Jungkook requested that they respect his personal space, reiterating that he is doing well and asking them not to worry too much. He remarked, "I really appreciate your concern and I'm genuinely okay. So, please don't say things like go to bed soon." Furthermore, he reflected on a past live stream where he appeared under the influence and used inappropriate language, apologizing to anyone who felt uncomfortable but maintaining that he did not fully grasp the criticism he received.

As BTS continues its Arlangong world tour with upcoming shows in cities like Brussels, London, Munich, Paris, and various locations across Asia and Australia, Jungkook aims to keep a connection with fans while also establishing the boundaries he has requested. His openness during the live stream underscores the difficulties of balancing personal health with the expectations of a devoted fanbase.
