Hyderabad, Feb 28: The much-anticipated trailer for the thriller 'Mrithunjay', directed by Hussain Sha Kiran and starring Sree Vishnu and Reba John, was unveiled by popular Telugu actor Jr NTR on Saturday, much to the excitement of fans.

Jr NTR shared the trailer on his X account, expressing his pride in his long-time friend Sunny, who is making his debut as a producer with this unique story. He stated, "Over 18 years of friendship, I have seen Sunny's talent for spotting exceptional narratives, just like his father, Gunnam Gangaraju. I am thrilled for him as he embarks on this journey with #Mrithyunjay."

He added, "The #MrithyunjayTrailer is filled with gripping intensity and leaves viewers eager for more. I wish director Hussain, Sree Vishnu, and the entire team great success for their release on March 6."

The trailer begins with Sree Vishnu's character, who promises a child that he will untie his bound hands and answer all questions. We see him pleading for a position in the crime bureau, but his request is denied, hinting at his aspirations as a journalist covering crime stories.

In another scene, Eesha Rebba, portraying a police officer, dismisses a victim's death as an "unfortunate accident," but Sree Vishnu insists it was not an accident.

As the story unfolds, Sree Vishnu's character searches for a person affected by polio, expressing fear of losing to his aunt, who reassures him that losing isn't wrong, but not fighting is.

Originally set for release on February 27, the film's premiere has been rescheduled to March 6. Sree Vishnu announced the new date on Instagram, stating, "Release date marindhi, thrillu kaadhu! (The release date has changed, not the thrill!) Meet #MrithyuNjay in cinemas from March 6th."

Light Box Media, the film's production company, previously shared the title teaser on their X account, emphasizing that every clue is crucial and every move carries risk, with Jay deciding when the game ends.

Directed by Hussain Sha Kiran, 'Mrithunjay' has generated significant buzz among fans. The film is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati, with Ramya Gunnam presenting it. Music is composed by Kaala Bhairava, editing is handled by Sreekar Prasad, and cinematography is by Vidyasagar, with production design by Manisha.
