Panaji, Oct 9: The Goa Police have initiated a medico-legal case regarding the unnatural death of renowned Bollywood actor Nana Patekar.

This case falls under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and is currently being handled by Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Naik.

Reports indicate that Nana Patekar was transported from his home in Dona Paula to Manipal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The police plan to conduct a panchnama, review the post-mortem findings at Goa Medical College (GMC), and gather statements from family members and other pertinent individuals to ascertain the cause of death.

The investigation will focus on the circumstances surrounding his passing. Should it be determined that he died of natural causes, the case may be closed. Conversely, if any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances arise, further legal measures will be pursued.

Earlier, Dr. Shekhar Salkar from Manipal Hospital stated to the media, “We made every effort, but he was brought in dead, necessitating a police report.”
