The costumes for *Ramayana* were crafted by designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula. In an interview with a media outlet, Rimple Narula addressed the online criticism, acknowledging that they expected a range of reactions to the film.

She stated, "A monumental epic like the *Ramayana* has been ingrained in our cultural memory for ages. Naturally, people will have varied opinions on casting, costumes, and visual effects. We were ready for this. What kept us focused was our dedication to our craft."

Rimple further elaborated, "When I envision Mata Sita, I don’t strictly adhere to the descriptions in the Puranas. I wanted the Goddess, who resides in my heart, to embody the vision I have cherished over the years. This was a carefully considered choice."
