Starring Matt Damon, 'The Odyssey' has not only captivated audiences with its financial performance but also stands out as one of the highest-grossing R-rated films worldwide. Currently, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' holds the top spot with USD 1.338 billion, while 'Joker' closely follows with USD 1.079 billion.

This film marks Nolan's second entry into the realm of top-grossing R-rated films, following the success of 'Oppenheimer,' which also featured Damon in a significant role. With its impressive earnings, 'The Odyssey' is set to surpass 'Oppenheimer,' which has grossed around USD 976.97 million, further enhancing Nolan's reputation as a cinematic genius.

The current rankings of the highest-grossing R-rated films include 'Deadpool & Wolverine' at USD 1.338 billion, 'Joker' at USD 1.079 billion, and 'Oppenheimer' at USD 976.97 million. Following 'The Odyssey,' which has crossed USD 930 million, the list continues with 'Deadpool 2' at USD 785.90 million and 'Deadpool' at USD 782.61 million, among others.
