Law enforcement sources indicate that investigators are exploring the possibility that Panettiere consumed an oxycodone pill contaminated with fentanyl on the day of her death. Although the Greenville County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the final toxicology report, the investigation is now concentrating on tracing the origin of the substances found with her.

Expanding Investigation and Drug Source Examination

The investigation has broadened to include authorities in Los Angeles, where it is believed that Panettiere acquired prescription medications before traveling to South Carolina.
