Reflecting on the filming process, Holland shared, "We completed my coverage, and as we moved to hers, I felt comfortable enough to ask, 'Do you think this scene is effective?' To my surprise, she replied, 'No, I don't think it's working at all.'" This honest conversation prompted Holland to reach out to the producers, who concurred with their assessment, leading him to voice their collective feelings about the scene.

Subsequently, Holland and Zendaya approached the film's director, Destin Daniel Cretton, to express their concerns. They candidly stated, "Hey, man, I know we've been filming for hours, but I really don't think this scene is working."
