Stallone Responds to Nepotism Criticism

Sylvester Stallone has recently spoken out about the ongoing debate regarding nepotism in Hollywood, particularly in relation to his daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, who is part of his crime drama series, Tulsa King. The seasoned actor, who plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, brushed aside the criticisms by asserting that aiding one’s children is a basic duty of parenthood.

In an interview with a prominent media outlet, Stallone directly addressed the nepotism allegations, arguing that not using one’s influence to support their children would indicate a lack of concern. He maintained that it is natural for parents to strive to give their children every possible advantage, framing this practice as an essential aspect of being a parent rather than something to feel guilty about.

Career Success and Parental Support

While Stallone recognized that his support has helped his daughter gain opportunities, he stressed that an actor's enduring success ultimately hinges on their own talent and hard work. He pointed out that although a parent can assist in entering the industry, the responsibility for sustaining a successful career lies solely with the individual. He warned that once the initial opportunity is granted, the challenge of maintaining a career is entirely up to the performer.

Scarlet Rose Stallone's Expanding Role

Scarlet Rose Stallone, who plays Spencer in the series, is confirmed to return for the fifth season, with her character's role being significantly enhanced as she has been elevated to a series regular. The production has also undergone a notable transition, shifting filming from Atlanta to New York to delve deeper into the mafia background of Stallone’s character.

As the series gears up for its next chapter, the cast will welcome five new series regulars: Erik Palladino, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Skordi, and Nickola Shreli. While the production has announced these additions, details about their characters have yet to be revealed. With the show renewed for a fifth season, it remains a key focus for Stallone as he juggles his professional endeavors and his role as a father in the spotlight.
