Quentin Tarantino and Daniella Pick Establish Roots in Tel Aviv with Major Property Purchase
A New Chapter in Tel Aviv
Renowned director Quentin Tarantino and his wife, actress and model Daniella Pick, have deepened their connection to Israel by acquiring two adjacent plots in Tel Aviv. This significant investment, reportedly worth NIS 50 million, signifies a pivotal moment for the couple, who have been balancing their careers in the U.S. with family life in Israel.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2018 and are parents to two children, previously resided in the city through a luxury rental arrangement. In 2019, they rented a lavish two-story home in northern Tel Aviv for around NIS 80,000 monthly. This property, covering 500 square meters, served as their main residence while they searched for a permanent home.
Settling in Tel Baruch
A Permanent Foundation in Tel Baruch
After an extensive search that took them through various neighborhoods like Afeka and Tzahala, the couple chose the Tel Baruch area. This neighborhood, located north of the Yarkon River, is known for its modern redevelopment and offers the spacious land they desired for their family.
The recent acquisition consists of two neighboring plots at the intersection of Yaakov and Maskit streets, totaling 2,200 square meters. The first plot, which is 980 square meters, has a seven-room house built around 40 years ago, while the second, measuring 1,200 square meters, contains a smaller, older building. By purchasing these adjacent lands, the couple has secured the space needed to create a home that meets their long-term aspirations.
Navigating Dual Lives
Balancing Life Between Two Worlds
For Tarantino, this move is a strategic step towards separating his professional and personal lives. The acclaimed filmmaker, known for classics like Pulp Fiction and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, has previously discussed the contrasting rhythms of his life in the two countries. At the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, he remarked that his time in the U.S. is largely devoted to writing and directing, while his time in Israel is centered around fatherhood, where he affectionately refers to himself as "abba," the Hebrew word for father.
This transition from a temporary rental to a substantial property investment highlights the couple's dedication to establishing a life in Israel. As Tarantino continues to thrive in the film industry, their new home in Tel Aviv offers a secure and private setting for their family, concluding their lengthy search for a permanent residence in the area.
