Jack Lowden, celebrated for his role as Mr. Darcy, has emerged as a leading candidate to take over the iconic role of James Bond from Daniel Craig in the franchise's upcoming reboot. Amidst a flurry of speculation involving several well-known actors like Jacob Elordi, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Henry Cavill, television host Richard Osman has ignited interest by suggesting that Lowden is being seriously evaluated for the part. On his podcast, "The Rest Is Entertainment," Osman disclosed that he had heard Lowden's name linked to the highly sought-after role.

Osman remarked, "Someone told me for definite who the new Bond is the other day, but I mean that’s happened before," confirming that Lowden was the name he had received. He stressed that while this isn't a definitive confirmation of Lowden's casting, the actor is indeed under serious consideration. Osman praised Lowden's potential, stating, "He would be an incredible Bond. He’s got real Daniel Craig energy."

The Scottish actor is currently set to portray Mr. Darcy in Netflix's upcoming six-part adaptation of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice," which is in post-production and slated for a 2026 release.
