Final Trailer Released for The Devil Wears Prada 2
The recently unveiled final trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 offers fans a deeper look into the storyline of this much-anticipated sequel from 20th Century Studios. It also features an exciting new song titled Runway, a collaboration between Lady Gaga and Doechii, perfectly complementing the fashion-centric theme of the film. The original cast members from the 2006 classic, including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, are all set to reprise their iconic roles. The new track Runway kicks off the trailer for this comedic sequel.
New Original Song Runway Featured in the Trailer
While promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2 in Tokyo, Japan, the studio released the final trailer, which includes a sneak peek of the collaboration between Lady Gaga and Doechii. The song Runway is believed to pay tribute to the magazine central to the film's plot.
This marks the first collaboration between the two Grammy-winning artists. In addition to her musical contribution, Gaga will also make a cameo appearance in the film, having filmed her scenes during her Mayhem Ball Tour last year.
The trailer opens with Hathaway's character, Andy, engaging with Miranda Priestly's new assistant, Amari (played by Simone Ashley). It reveals that Andy's role is to help restore Priestly's tarnished image, as Runway has faced significant public criticism and is in dire need of advertising funds from another assistant, Emily (Emily Blunt). The dynamic between Priestly and Andy is tense, with Priestly making it clear that she did not choose Andy for the job. Andy's friends jokingly suggest that she could write an exposé on Miranda Priestly once her task is complete.
