BTS Reunites: A New Chapter Begins

Following their announcement of a hiatus in 2022 for solo endeavors and military commitments, fans speculated on how BTS, the globally renowned band, would adapt after their time apart. Now that all seven members have come together again, enthusiasts and industry analysts are dubbing this new phase as BTS 2.0, representing a more mature, creatively liberated, and emotionally aware version of the group. However, this transition has not been without its challenges for RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. RM recently opened up about how they maintain harmony as they all enter their 30s.

The Importance of Their Bond

BTS Values the Bond Above Anything Else

The post-military phase has not diminished BTS's original chemistry; rather, it has reshaped their dynamics, artistic identity, and creative processes in significant ways. During a live session on Weverse on May 28, RM expressed that one of their greatest strengths now lies in the deep consideration they show each other. He emphasized that every member cherishes their connection so much that they approach one another with heightened sensitivity.

Navigating Challenges Together

How Members Resolve Issues to Stay Cautious

RM noted, "Currently, one of our strengths and weaknesses is that all members are very careful and considerate of each other. No one wants to jeopardize this close relationship, so everyone is extremely cautious. If one member expresses any dislike, the others tend to respect that opinion." He added that this carefulness can complicate decision-making, as differing opinions can lead to indecision among the group.

Growing Together Through Experiences

Growing Old Together

RM explained that this cautiousness stems from a desire to safeguard the strong bond they have cultivated over the years, especially after experiencing personal growth during their solo projects and military service. He had a premonition that the entire process—from album creation to concert tours—would hinge on their decision-making, which ultimately proved to be accurate.

A Collective of Individual Artists

BTS is Seven Members Collaborating on Collective Projects

Rather than merely functioning as performers, BTS now operates as seven individual artists collaborating within a unified framework. This evolution enriches their music with a broader emotional spectrum and enhanced creative freedom. Their latest album, ARIRANG, showcases this transformation, blending personal introspection with significant social commentary, while their sound fluidly traverses various genres without being confined to a single musical identity.
