Hollywood icon Brad Pitt is officially making a comeback in the sequel to his 2013 hit zombie thriller, World War Z. After a protracted and intricate development journey, the project is gaining momentum at Paramount Pictures, with the talented Edward Berger set to direct.

Berger, who garnered acclaim for his direction in the Oscar-winning film All Quiet on the Western Front and the recent thriller Conclave, will helm this production. Pitt is expected to reprise his role as Gerry Lane, the former UN investigator who faced a global pandemic in the first installment. The sequel's screenplay is being crafted by British writer Dennis Kelly.
