Hansika Krishna has publicly addressed the uproar surrounding a private video that was leaked from her Instagram subscription service and circulated online without her permission. The 20-year-old actress expressed her regret in a comprehensive statement, labeling the upload as an 'impulsive' error she wished she could take back. While acknowledging her accountability, Hansika, who is gearing up to collaborate with Naslen, dismissed claims that the video was a ploy for publicity or to boost her subscription numbers. She also shared the emotional toll the incident has taken on her and her family, condemning the online harassment that ensued.

Hansika Krishna Discusses the Viral Video Incident

In her official statement shared on social media, Hansika confirmed that she had uploaded the video to her subscriber-only account but quickly deleted it upon realizing her mistake. Unfortunately, some subscribers managed to screen-record the video before its removal and later disseminated it publicly. Describing her decision to upload as a 'careless and silly mistake,' Hansika expressed her regret and explained that she needed time to process the emotional fallout from the incident.

After the leak, numerous social media users accused Hansika of deliberately sharing the video to garner attention or increase her subscription revenue. The actress firmly denied these allegations, stating that financial gain or publicity was never her intention.

Hansika emphasized that she is already financially stable and has a substantial social media following, negating any need to seek attention through such means. She also pointed out that the controversy coincided with the release of her sister Ahaana Krishna's music video, asserting that she would never do anything to jeopardize her sister's career or reputation.

Hansika Speaks on Online Harassment

In her statement, Hansika highlighted the online abuse she endured following the video's release. While she acknowledged that public figures often face scrutiny, she noted that the backlash often escalated into targeted harassment. Hansika mentioned that some individuals were creating content around the controversy to gain engagement, often using derogatory language towards her family. Initially contemplating shutting down her subscription service, she ultimately decided to temporarily raise the price from Rs 299 to Rs 399 to deter new subscribers.

With over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, Hansika is currently preparing for her acting debut alongside Naslen in the upcoming Malayalam film Bachelor Party 2 D'eux. She also recently featured in the music video Pookkal, directed by her sister Ahaana Krishna.
