The 20-year-old actress expressed her regret in a comprehensive statement, labeling the upload as an 'impulsive' error she wished she could take back. While acknowledging her accountability, Hansika, who is gearing up to collaborate with Naslen, dismissed claims that the video was a ploy for publicity or to boost her subscription numbers. She also shared the emotional toll the incident has taken on her and her family, condemning the online harassment that ensued.

In her official statement shared on social media, Hansika confirmed that she had uploaded the video to her subscriber-only account but quickly deleted it upon realizing her mistake. Unfortunately, some subscribers managed to screen-record the video before its removal and later disseminated it publicly. Describing her decision to upload as a 'careless and silly mistake,' Hansika expressed her regret and explained that she needed time to process the emotional fallout from the incident.

Initially contemplating shutting down her subscription service, she ultimately decided to temporarily raise the price from Rs 299 to Rs 399 to deter new subscribers.
