Supermodel Gigi Hadid has finally shared her thoughts regarding her and her sister Bella Hadid's mention in the controversial Epstein files. An email exchange from 2015 between Jeffrey Epstein and an unidentified person, which was made public by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and analyzed by people.com, included a query about how Gigi, 30, and Bella, 29, achieved success as models. Epstein's response indicated that their father did not pay for their modeling careers, but rather, they were successful due to their ability to follow directions.

Gigi Hadid Responds to Epstein Files Mention

After the email surfaced, a social media user expressed their disappointment on one of Gigi's Instagram posts on March 29, stating they had to unfollow her due to her silence regarding the Epstein files. Many women have accused Epstein of sexual misconduct from 2008 to 2019. Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on charges of sex trafficking minors and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking. He died by suicide in his jail cell on August 10 while awaiting trial.

In a now-deleted response to the comment on her Instagram post, Gigi explained her initial silence regarding her mention in the Epstein files. She described it as 'horrible' to read about herself in such a context from someone she has never met, according to E! News.

Gigi clarified that she refrained from commenting earlier to avoid overshadowing the experiences of actual victims. However, she recognized the importance of making her stance clear. 'To be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that email — is disturbing.
