The wait is finally over for fans eager to watch "Pati Patni Aur Woh Do" on OTT, as Netflix has confirmed that the film will be available for streaming in India starting July 10. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, this comedy features a stellar cast, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi. The film initially debuted in theaters on May 15, 2023, and has attracted considerable attention since its release.
On Thursday, Netflix announced the film's digital premiere via social media, stating, “Prajapati Pandey are coming soon, with Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. Watch Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, out 10 July, on Netflix.” The film has ignited conversations about its themes of infidelity, leading Khurrana to clarify at the trailer launch that the story centers on the misunderstandings and interactions among the four lead characters rather than promoting any negative themes.
Khurrana highlighted the moral integrity of his character, Prajapati Pandey, asserting, “This film is about the dynamics between these four characters. I believe my role is a green flag; his moral compass is absolutely correct. We are not endorsing infidelity as it is a family film. It’s simply a comedy of errors.” He assured viewers that the film does not showcase any affairs, emphasizing its family-friendly essence.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra, with Juno Chopra as the creative producer, "Pati Patni Aur Woh Do" is a joint effort between T-Series and B R Studios, while Zee Studios managed its theatrical release. The film has grossed a total of ₹67.96 crore globally, with ₹60.11 crore from India and ₹7.85 crore from overseas markets. This project marks a reunion for director Mudassar Aziz with the franchise, following his successful 2019 film "Pati Patni Aur Woh," which featured Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday.
Critics have praised the film for its humor stemming from misunderstandings and vibrant performances. One review noted, “Overall, Pati, Patni Aur Woh Do is the kind of film that knows exactly what it wants to be and rarely loses sight of it.” Looking ahead, Ayushmann Khurrana is set to star in Sameer Saxena's "Mupapa," which is scheduled for release on February 19, 2027, and he also has another project in collaboration with Sara Ali Khan titled "Udta Teer."
