The sports drama film Gatta Kusthi 2, featuring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi, has shown remarkable performance at the box office, experiencing another day of growth on Sunday. Thanks to a strong turnout over the weekend, the film saw a significant increase in its earnings on its third day. As reported by Sacnilk, the movie generated approximately Rs 6.20 crore (net in India) on Day 3, reflecting a 25.3% rise from the Rs 4.95 crore collected on Saturday. This surge in revenue was supported by around 2,400 screenings across the country. Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the film is a collaborative production by Ishari K. Ganesh, Vishnu Vishal, and Ishan Saksena under the banners of Vels Film International, Vishnu Vishal Studioz, and IVY Entertainment.

Gatta Kusthi 2 Box Office Day 3: Continued Growth in Collections

With this latest performance, Gatta Kusthi 2 has accumulated Rs 13.85 crore in net collections and Rs 15.93 crore in gross collections in India over three days. Additionally, the film earned Rs 1 crore gross from overseas markets on Sunday, bringing its total overseas gross to Rs 2.85 crore. The worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 18.78 crore.

On Sunday, the film also experienced improved occupancy rates, achieving an overall occupancy of 44.27% in Tamil (2D). Morning shows recorded 23.85%, which increased to 52.62% in the afternoon. The evening shows had the highest attendance at 53.15%, before settling at 44.46% during the night. Tamil Nadu emerged as the largest contributor, generating Rs 6.25 crore gross on Day 3, while Karnataka and Kerala contributed Rs 50 lakh and Rs 28 lakh, respectively.

Vishnu Vishal Addresses Controversy Regarding Vijay and Rajinikanth

During the film's promotional activities, Vishnu Vishal addressed the controversy surrounding his recent comments about Rajinikanth and Vijay, which some fans perceived as disrespectful. In a media interaction, he clarified that he was merely echoing Rajinikanth's words when mentioning Vijay. He emphasized that his intention was not to offend anyone and that he aimed to highlight the increasing negativity on social media rather than create divisions among fan groups. Vishnu stood by his comments, asserting that they had been misinterpreted by some fans of Vijay.

Gatta Kusthi 2 also features a talented cast, including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Karunaas, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, Lizzie Antony, Gajaraj, Sreeja Ravi, Karunakaran, Zara Zyanna, and Mokksha. The film's technical team includes cinematographer KM Bhaskaran, editor Barath Vikraman, and composer Sean Roldan.
