Anticipated Reunion at Forbidden Door 2025

The highly awaited reunion of Adam Copeland, known as Edge, and Christian Cage is set to take place at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event later this month. While their current relationship remains uncertain, they recently shared a heartfelt moment during a segment on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite aired on the TBS Network.

This marks the first time in 14 years that Copeland and Christian will join forces as a tag team, facing off against Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian at the Forbidden Door event scheduled for August 24 in London, England. Their match was announced following a touching embrace on Dynamite.

Since returning to AEW at All In: Texas, Copeland achieved his first singles victory over FTR manager Stokely Hathaway on Dynamite. Following the match, FTR violated a restraining order against Copeland and attacked him, but Christian Cage intervened to help. The duo then united to fend off The Patriarchy, setting the stage for their upcoming tag team match.

After Christian officially turned face, he and Copeland embraced in the ring, leading to the announcement of their tag match. Their last collaboration occurred during the 2021 WWE Royal Rumble, with their final match as a duo taking place in 2011 on the Road to Wrestlemania 27.

The Patriarchy turned against Christian Cage at All In after Wayne and Cage lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships to The Hurt Syndicate. Wayne attacked Cage, and as Sabian prepared to strike him with a con-chair-to, Copeland made his dramatic return to save Cage, hinting at their partnership for the Forbidden Door event.
