Upcoming Films from July to December 2026
As we reach the midpoint of 2026, the film industry is buzzing with excitement as new releases continue to emerge. The first half of the year showcased a diverse array of films, such as Dhurandhar 2, Border 2, and Cocktail 2, which all enjoyed box office success. However, some films like Do Deewane Seher Mein and Chand Mera Dil fell short of expectations. Looking ahead, July kicks off with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in Alpha, while August promises a competitive lineup with Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2. The year will culminate with a thrilling face-off between Shah Rukh Khan's King and Aneet Padda's Shakti Shalini on December 24.
Alpha – July 3
Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, is an action-packed thriller directed by Shiv Rawail. The story follows Sita (Alia), who is trained by the villain to become an assassin. Upon realizing his sinister intentions, she teams up with another young woman (Sharvari) to take him down. This film marks a significant milestone as the first female-led action thriller in the YRF Spyverse, featuring a cameo by Hrithik Roshan.
Baby Do Die Do – July 3
Directed by Nachiket Samant, Baby Do Die Do features a talented cast including Huma Qureshi and Sikandar Kher. The film follows Baby Karmarkar, an assassin, and is produced by Saqib and Huma under the Saleem Siblings production house.
Dhamaal 4 – July 10
Dhamaal 4, helmed by Indra Kumar, centers around a treasure hunt that promises to engage audiences while evoking nostalgia from the original film. This comedy features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, and Riteish Deshmukh, among others.

Prahaar - The Ujjwal Nikam Story - August 7
Featuring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story is inspired by the notable public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, known for his role in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks trial. Directed by Avinash Arun, the film will be released on August 7, with its teaser available in theaters alongside Cocktail 2.
Batwara 1947 - August 14
Batwara 1947 features a stellar cast including Shabana Azmi and Sunny Deol. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, this film is based on the Urdu play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya O Jamyai Nai and is set to hit theaters on August 14.

Vvan – Force of the Forest - August 28
