The Deputy Commissioner, Mukesh Repswal, has revealed plans for a unique beauty pageant, the Miss Minjar Queen, to be held during the International Minjar Fair 2026.

This contest will unfold over three days, from July 31 to August 2:

First Round: Participants will don traditional Himachali attire.

Second Round: Contestants will showcase national attire.

Final Round: A question-and-answer segment will conclude the event.

Online auditions commenced on July 21, with in-person auditions scheduled for July 22 at Government Degree College, Chamba. A registration fee of ₹200 applies, and young women aged 15 to 25 years are invited to take part.

Prizes:

First Place: ₹51,000

Second Place: ₹31,000

Third Place: ₹21,000

Repswal highlighted that the Minjar Fair represents Chamba’s rich cultural heritage, and events like this offer local talent a chance to shine while enhancing tourism and cultural appreciation on a broader scale.
