The dispute over the title of Eetha seems to have been settled after director Laxman Utekar communicated with the family of the legendary Lavani performer. Initially, Vitthabai's grandson, Mohit Narayangaonkar, had expressed his discontent with the title, suggesting it should have been Vittha. However, he has since expressed satisfaction with the filmmaker's explanation. In a conversation, Mohit stated, "Yes, absolutely, we are satisfied. He spoke to us over the phone. We had requested that the film's title be changed, but he explained that in rural areas, Vitthabai was known as 'Eetha'. That is why they chose this title for the film. We have no problem with it now." He further commended the film for its positive representation of the Tamasha and Lavani community, saying, "The film has been made in a very positive way. It presents the Tamasha and Lavani community in a very positive light. We are satisfied. There is no issue."
