Ajay Sethi, the owner of West Champions, hosted a festive gathering in Dubai to celebrate the birthday of former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo. The event took place after Bravo's birthday on October 7 and was attended by numerous notable figures from West Indies cricket, including Chris Gayle, Carlos Brathwaite, Lendl Simmons, Sheldon Cottrell, Fidel Edwards, Chadwick Walton, Jermaine Blackwood, Raymon Reifer, Rayad Emrit, Nikita Miller, and Suleiman Benn.


Bravo's Impact on T20 Cricket

Dwayne Bravo is celebrated as a key figure in T20 cricket, having built an impressive career in both international matches and franchise leagues globally. His exceptional talent with bat and ball has made him a standout player, and he is recognized as one of the trailblazers of the T20 format. Bravo participated in seven T20 World Cups, securing two championships with the West Indies, and has amassed over 15 titles in various franchise leagues.


Historic Milestones

Bravo made history by becoming the first bowler to achieve 500 wickets in T20 cricket, marking a significant milestone in the sport.


Franchise League Success

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Bravo was a crucial player for the Chennai Super Kings, leading the tournament in wickets in both 2013 and 2015. He also dominated the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2015 and 2016, and topped the wicket charts in the Big Bash League (BBL) during the 2017-18 season.


Retirement and Comeback

Bravo initially retired from international cricket in October 2018 but made a comeback over a year later to assist the West Indies in their T20 World Cup defense. Unfortunately, after the team's early exit from the tournament, he announced his retirement once again at the age of 38.
