In a memorable segment, Diljit clarified the meaning of the phrase ‘Main Hoon Punjab’ after Jimmy attempted to pronounce it. Fallon was intrigued by the significance of ‘Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye’, and when Diljit said it, the crowd erupted in applause.

This isn’t Diljit’s first time on The Tonight Show; he previously appeared in 2024 after his Coachella performance. In a behind-the-scenes moment, he taught Jimmy how to say ‘Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye’ and ‘Sat Sri Akal’. Jimmy impressed Diljit with his pronunciation of the latter. Dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, complete with a turban, Diljit also participated in a glove exchange with Fallon, who gifted him a custom glove featuring the show's logo.
During his latest appearance, Diljit showcased his dance moves while teaching Bhangra to Jimmy, promoting the episode with a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram. This time, he opted for a stylish all-black semi-formal outfit while maintaining his signature flair during the performance.

Before his appearance on The Tonight Show in 2024, Diljit made history as the first Punjabi artist to perform at Coachella. His AURA World Tour 2026 kicked off in North America on April 23, 2026, at BC Place in Vancouver, with performances scheduled across Canada and the U.S. until June 20, 2026, including cities like Toronto, Calgary, and Chicago.
On the cinematic front, Diljit was last seen in Border 2 portraying Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC, an officer in the Indian Air Force. He is set to star alongside Vedang Raina, Sharvari, and Naseeruddin Shah in the upcoming Imtiaz Ali film titled Main Vaapa Aunga, although he will miss the promotional events due to prior commitments.
