Diana Penty takes on the role of Natasha, a skilled and committed investigator, in the series Detective Sherdil, now available for streaming on Zee 5. In a recent interview, she shared insights about her on-screen chemistry with Diljit Dosanjh, who portrays the unconventional detective, Sherdil.

Penty expressed her enjoyment of working alongside Diljit, noting that his humorous personality contributed to a relaxed atmosphere on set. “I would definitely pay attention and learn from him since he often spoke in Punjabi, a language I understand quite well. He was a really fun person to be around and made the environment very welcoming,” she remarked.

Reflecting on her co-star's character, Penty described Diljit as humble and respectful, highlighting how he never overshadowed others but instead fostered a sense of comfort among the cast. “He is incredibly down-to-earth, polite, and shows respect to everyone. He made sure everyone felt at ease and never intruded on anyone else’s space. He focused on his own scenes and lines without imposing,” she explained. Diljit’s unique combination of humor and introversion made the collaboration enjoyable. “He has this playful side, always joking around, yet he can also be quiet and reserved. Working with him was genuinely easy and enjoyable,” Penty concluded.
