Trailer Release for Dhurandhar: The Revenge

The highly anticipated trailer for Dhurandhar: The Revenge (also known as Dhurandhar 2) was unveiled today, March 7, providing fans with an exciting glimpse into the next installment of director Aditya Dhar's spy thriller saga. Spanning 3 minutes and 25 seconds, the trailer hints at a more intense and darker narrative as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, portrayed by Ranveer Singh, delves deeper into the criminal underworld, adopting the alias Hamza Ali Mazari. Following the demise of gangster Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna in the original film, Hamza ascends to power in Lyari, Karachi, earning the title of "Lyari ka Badshah." The trailer is set to a remixed version of the popular track Ari Ari by Bombay Rockers, which adds an energetic vibe to the visuals.

Revival of the Viral Ari Ari Song

The remixed version of Ari Ari has quickly gained traction on social media, with many viewers praising its upbeat tempo that enhances the trailer's action sequences. The catchy rhythm makes it a track that listeners want to replay. Interestingly, this viral rendition is a modern take on an older hit originally released by the Danish-Indian duo Bombay Rockers in 2007 as part of their debut album, Introducing.

Bombay Rockers, formed in 2003, consists of Danish-Indian singer Navtej Singh Rehal and the production duo WCA—Thomas Sardorf and Janus Barnewitz. Their first collaboration, Ari Ari, has amassed over 4.7 million views on YouTube, showcasing their innovative blend of Punjabi and English music that captivated audiences in the early 2000s.

While the first film centered on Rangi's personal infiltration into a crime syndicate, the sequel broadens its scope to address national security threats. The trailer depicts Hamza navigating through a terror organization, aiming to dismantle it from within, with Major Iqbal, played by Arjun Rampal, becoming a key target. It also showcases an ensemble cast and high-stakes confrontations among pivotal characters.
