Bimal Oberoi on Spin-Off Potential
Bimal Oberoi Discusses Character Depth
In a recent conversation with a media outlet, Oberoi highlighted the intricate character development crafted by Aditya Dhar, suggesting that the universe could easily expand into spin-offs and standalone narratives. He emphasized that Shirani is not the only character worthy of further exploration, mentioning Rakesh Bedi's role and Danish Pandor's character, currently imprisoned, as examples of characters with rich backstories. He stated, "Not only Shirani. Look at Rakesh Bedi Ji's character. Look at that handsome boy Danish (Pandor); jo jail main hain. Unke character pe bohot kuch ho sakta hai."
Exploring More Characters
Oberoi also pointed out Mustafa Ahmed’s Rizwan as another character ripe for a spin-off, asserting that nearly every role in the film possesses the depth necessary for their own storylines. He even mentioned Akshaye Khanna’s Rehman Dakait, suggesting that his character has enough intrigue to justify a backstory. Furthermore, he expressed interest in Gaurav Gera’s character, indicating that delving into his past would be fascinating. According to Oberoi, the detailed writing of each character makes the idea of expanding their stories feel natural rather than forced. He believes that a deeper exploration of Shirani would also be compelling.
