Dhurandhar 2 Achieves Record-Breaking Box Office Success
Dhurandhar 2 Surpasses Milestones
Ranveer Singh's latest film, Dhurandhar 2, continues to break records at the box office. As of its third weekend, the film has amassed an impressive Rs 1600 crore globally, making it the fastest Indian film to reach this milestone. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it now ranks as the fourth highest-grossing Indian film ever, trailing only behind Pushpa 2, Baahubali 2, and Dangal. While it seems poised to challenge the collections of Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2, Dangal's record appears to be a tougher target.
Comparative Box Office Performance
| Movie | Worldwide Gross Box Office Collection |
| Dhurandhar 2 (15 Days) | Rs 1622 Crore |
| Pushpa 2 | Rs 1742.10 Crore |
| Baahubali 2 | Rs 1788.06 Crore |
| Dangal | Rs 2070.30 Crore |
On April 6, JioStudios and B62 Studios revealed that Dhurandhar 2 has grossed Rs 1228 crore in India and Rs 394 crore internationally, totaling Rs 1622 crore worldwide. The film's next goal is to surpass the lifetime earnings of Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2, which stand at Rs 1742.10 crore and Rs 1788.06 crore, respectively. Given its current trajectory, it seems likely that Dhurandhar 2 will soon become the second highest-grossing Indian film.
Can Dhurandhar 2 Overtake Dangal?
The question remains whether Dhurandhar 2 can surpass Dangal's record of Rs 2070.30 crore, a feat made possible largely due to its success in China. In India, however, Dhurandhar 2 has already outperformed Dangal significantly, having earned over Rs 1041 crore net compared to Dangal's Rs 387 crore. Notably, it is the first Hindi film to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark at the domestic box office.
