During the Times Now Summit 2026, Delhi's Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, shared her thoughts on Dhurandhar 2 in a discussion with Navika Kumar, the Group Editor-in-Chief. She remarked, “I had to see Dhurandhar 2 because a minister compared it to Rehman Dakait. I was curious to find out who this Rehman Dakait is.”


Gupta further praised the film, stating, “It’s an outstanding movie. The bravery of our nation’s defenders is highlighted, showcasing the lengths they go to protect us. This is a crucial message. Many people are unaware of the risks taken by our agencies and government to ensure our safety. It’s not easy to confront these threats. Our government works tirelessly, and I extend my gratitude to our Prime Minister for his dedication.”



Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's Take on the Film


Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister for Railways and Information Technology, also weighed in at the Times Now Summit 2026, stating, “It’s a good film and definitely worth watching.” He chose not to engage with the criticisms labeling Dhurandhar 2 as ‘propaganda’ cinema.
