Dhanush Announces 'Thamizh Murugan'

New Delhi: The talented actor Dhanush has revealed the title of his forthcoming film with director Vetrimaaran, named Thamizh Murugan.

This dynamic duo has previously worked together on four successful projects, including Polladhavan (2007), Aadukalam (2011), which earned Dhanush a National Award for Best Actor, Vada Chennai (2018), and their most recent collaboration, Asuran (2019), which also garnered Dhanush another National Award for his outstanding performance.

On Friday, Dhanush took to Instagram to share the exciting news, posting the film's first look teaser along with the title. His caption read, "The Eternal Protector, Warrior, THE KING & LEADER of the Thamizh people and lands. #ThamizhMurugan #SonOfKottravai."

The film's music will be composed by Sai Abhyankkar and is adapted from a book by author Arivumathi. It is being produced by Wunderbar Films.

In addition to Thamizh Murugan, Dhanush is set to star in the action drama OM, where he will share the screen with Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, and Naseeruddin Shah. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, this film portrays Dhanush as a woodcutter who confronts armed attackers and forest officials to save trapped workers.
