Exciting News for Deepika and Ranveer

Deepika Padukone is preparing to expand her family as she and her husband, Ranveer Singh, are expecting their second child. Reports indicate that after fulfilling her work obligations, the actress is due to give birth between October and November this year. Before her maternity leave, she completed filming for two much-anticipated projects, "King" and "Raka." Recently, the couple was spotted enjoying a meal at a well-known café in Mumbai, marking a rare public outing together.

A viral video captured the duo leaving the café, with Deepika dressed in a cozy co-ord set while Ranveer opted for a casual look with black trousers and a t-shirt. Both wore masks as they made their way to their vehicle, accompanied by tight security. On the professional front, Deepika has not revealed any upcoming projects after "King" and "Raka." Meanwhile, Ranveer is set to start filming for "Pralay" with Kalyani Priyadarshan in August, with plans to continue shooting until Diwali before taking a break.

After welcoming their second child, Ranveer is expected to take paternity leave, with filming anticipated to resume in 2027. Prior to this, Deepika traveled to South Africa to film a special song with Shah Rukh Khan for "King," where she also shot significant action sequences for the film's climax. The South Africa shoot featured appearances from Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Suhana Khan, with numerous behind-the-scenes clips going viral. Their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, was also present on set during this time.

Upon returning from South Africa, Deepika quickly got back to work on "Raka," reportedly having about 50 to 60 days of shooting remaining. During this period, she completed several key action scenes. There were rumors that her role in the action thriller was reduced due to her pregnancy, but Allu Arjun's team later clarified that these claims were false. For context, Deepika and Ranveer married in November 2018, celebrating with ceremonies that honored both Sindhi and Konkani traditions. They welcomed their daughter, Dua, in September 2024. Deepika announced her second pregnancy on April 19 by sharing a heartwarming photo of Dua holding a pregnancy test, and fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of another member in the Padukone Singh family.
