Danish Iqbal's Journey in Dhurandhar 2
Danish Iqbal is currently enjoying the acclaim from his role in Dhurandhar 2, where he plays the character of Bade Sahab, also known as Dawood Ibrahim, alongside Ranveer Singh. Following the film's release, he participated in an exclusive interview where he expressed admiration for his co-star, Ranveer, who portrays Hamza Ali Mazari/Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Danish shared insights about the supportive atmosphere on set and his feelings regarding his transformation into Bade Sahab.
Danish Iqbal Commends Ranveer Singh
In the interview, Danish described Ranveer as a 'lovely' individual. He recounted how both Ranveer and the Dhurandhar 2 crew reacted to his transformation. "Everyone always said Ranveer is full of energy, but when I first met him, he was incredibly warm and friendly. During a scene, he noticed my transformation, and the entire crew was astonished. They were all like, 'Oh my god, what is this?' They are seasoned professionals who understand the demands of such extensive makeup," he explained.
Danish further emphasized the support he received from his co-stars, particularly Ranveer. "He was very encouraging. After each take, he would come over and say, 'brilliant, sir.' It's one thing to say something nice just for the sake of it, but you could genuinely feel his sincerity and warmth. He is truly a wonderful person," he added.
Danish Iqbal Discusses His Transformation Process
As the conversation progressed, Danish revealed that he spent 8 to 9 hours in makeup to achieve his aged look as Bade Sahab, while the removal of the prosthetics took an additional 3 to 4 hours. "On shooting days, I was a bit anxious about how it would turn out. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process. The director is exceptional, polite, and a great human being who knows how to make his actors comfortable," he remarked.

Dhurandhar 2 narrates the tale of Hamza Ali Mazari, an Indian spy operating in Pakistan. This sequel explores the journey of Jaskirat Singh Rangi into becoming Hamza. The film features a stellar cast, including Ranveer, Danish, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun, and was released in theaters on March 19.
