Rohit Chandel Confesses to Stalking the Minor


Mundle's statement comes amidst serious allegations against Chandel, who was arrested by Ghatkopar Police on July 10. The minor girl accused him of persistent stalking, harassment, and physical assault. The case has been filed under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following his arrest, Chandel was presented in court and remanded to judicial custody. A senior officer from Ghatkopar Police Station revealed that Chandel admitted to stalking the complainant during questioning.



Senior Police Inspector Vitthal Laxman Aardekar stated, "He was stalking. He is in judicial custody. The duration of this will be determined by the court. Rohit did not deny the allegations and confessed to meeting her." According to police reports, the girl claimed that Chandel pressured her, traveled from Dahisar to Ghatkopar to confront her, and continued to contact her through various phone numbers even after being blocked. On July 5, she alleged that he confronted her near her home, followed her, verbally abused her, and physically assaulted her.
