The excitement surrounding Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ is palpable among fans. The trailer, featuring stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, and Yash, was unveiled on July 30, igniting discussions across social media. Since then, many have questioned the choice of Sai Pallavi for the role of Sita. In response, the Delhi Ramlila Mahasangh has issued a warning to the filmmakers, stating they will protest vigorously if any content in the film is deemed objectionable. They have also requested a special screening prior to the film's release.

The Shri Ramlila Mahasangh has formally reached out to director Nitesh Tiwari, urging for a special screening. In a letter from Arjun Kumar, the federation's president, he requested that a preview be arranged for a delegation from the Mahasangh before the film hits theaters this Diwali, both in India and internationally.

The Mahasangh noted that such controversies adversely affected the film's box office success. Kumar expressed apprehension that Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ might also feature elements that could offend Hindu sentiments.
