Controversial Track 'Sarke Chunar' Pulled from YouTube Amid Backlash
Controversy Surrounds 'Sarke Chunar'
Mumbai, March 17: The recently launched song "Sarke Chunar" featuring Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi has faced significant criticism due to its controversial lyrics and suggestive dance moves, prompting the producers to remove it from YouTube.
In a recent development, it has been reported that the creators are in the process of producing a revised version of the song, which will feature new lyrics and is anticipated to be released soon.
Details regarding the release date of the revamped "Sarke Chunar" remain unclear, but the decision to alter the song comes in light of the ongoing backlash.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice concerning the song's allegedly objectionable and ambiguous lyrics.
Furthermore, advocate and social activist Vineet Jindal has lodged a complaint with the cyber cell of the Delhi Police, seeking legal action against the song's creators.
In his complaint, he argued that the lyrics are inappropriate for public audiences, especially since the song is accessible on multiple digital platforms.
Following its release, the track has been met with widespread disapproval, with many labeling the lyrics as vulgar and unsuitable.
Composer and singer Armaan Malik has also criticized the song, describing it as a "new low" in songwriting.
Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh has expressed his discontent with the song in a recent social media post, calling out both Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt for their involvement.
"Sarke Chunar" features vocals by Mangli, with lyrics penned by Raqeeb Alam. The composition, arrangement, and production are credited to Arjun Janya.
Produced by Venkat K Narayana under the KVN Productions banner, "KD: The Devil" stars Dhruva Sarja alongside Sanjay Dutt, Reeshma Nanaiah, Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Nora Fatehi in key roles.
