Two Arrested for Alleged Trespassing at CORTIS' Dormitory

As reported by a local news outlet, two Chinese nationals were apprehended for allegedly trespassing into the dormitory of K-pop group CORTIS in Seoul, which has reignited worries regarding idol privacy and the sharing of celebrities' private information on social media platforms. The police were called after the group's manager reported that a package outside the dorm had been opened and the front door was ajar. Authorities later found the two women on another floor of the building. During questioning, they reportedly confessed to acquiring the dormitory address through social media before their visit. They claimed, 'We bought the dorm address on SNS and went there,' but denied any wrongdoing, stating, 'We did not damage the package or break into the dorm.'

The apartment complex has clear signs prohibiting unauthorized access, and entry is monitored by a security office. However, security personnel stated they were unaware that outsiders had entered the premises or that arrests had occurred. 'We didn't even know outsiders came in and that someone was arrested... We always monitor the CCTV,' a security representative was quoted as saying. A local resident mentioned, 'I think I've seen the idols living here a few times, but the security here is quite vulnerable.'
