Cocktail 2 Achieves Impressive Box Office Success Over Opening Weekend
Cocktail 2's Strong Start
Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, Cocktail 2 has made a significant impact at the box office, recording one of the best opening weekends for Bollywood in 2026. The romantic comedy surpassed the Rs 50 crore milestone within just three days, despite receiving an 'A' rating, indicating strong audience acceptance. Following a successful Sunday, attention turned to the crucial Monday figures, and Cocktail 2 appears to have maintained a solid performance on its fourth day.

Directed by Homi Adajania, the film opened with a robust Rs 14.10 crore on Friday, followed by a remarkable increase to Rs 17.15 crore on Saturday. The growth continued into Sunday, albeit at a slower pace, with the film earning Rs 18.85 crore. This brought the total to Rs 50.10 crore over the first three days.
With positive momentum, Cocktail 2 entered the crucial weekdays. As reported by Sacnilk, the film garnered Rs 6.35 crore on Monday, raising its four-day total to Rs 56.45 crore, with final figures expected to be slightly higher. However, the film experienced a drop of about 50% from its opening day, which isn't necessarily alarming, but a figure exceeding Rs 7 crore would have bolstered its first-week total significantly.
Shahid Kapoor's Comeback
This film marks a much-needed success for Shahid Kapoor, who has been on the lookout for a hit after his previous releases, Deva and O Romeo, failed to make an impact at the box office. Given the current collections, Cocktail 2 seems poised to end his search for a successful film. Additionally, this will be the second consecutive hit for both Shahid and Kriti Sanon, following their 2024 film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. For Rashmika Mandanna, Cocktail 2 adds to her string of successes, following hits like Pushpa 2 and Chhaava.

Cocktail 2 Eyes Rs 75 Crore In First Week
To have a shot at surpassing the Rs 100 crore mark, Cocktail 2 ideally needs to reach Rs 75 crore by the end of its first week. With Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga gaining traction in its second week and Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle set to release this Friday, Cocktail 2 must generate strong numbers over the next three days leading up to Thursday.
