The Tamil film industry is in mourning following the passing of renowned filmmaker, actor, and writer K. Bhagyaraj, who died in Chennai at the age of 73 due to a sudden heart attack on June 27. Esteemed actors Kamal Haasan and Mammootty were visibly affected by the loss and visited Bhagyaraj's home to pay their respects after his body was returned from the hospital. Bhagyaraj's contributions to cinema include profound storytelling, relatable characters, and films that transformed the portrayal of everyday people on screen.
