Street Fighter Film Breaks Box Office Records: Surpasses Warcraft Earnings!

The latest installment of the Street Fighter film series has surpassed the box office earnings of Warcraft, achieving a new milestone in its domestic run. With a total of $48.6 million after just 12 days, the film is projected to exceed $50 million soon. Despite its success, it still aims to surpass the global earnings of the original 1994 film. As it continues its theatrical run, further updates on its performance are anticipated, making it a film to watch in the coming weeks.

Street Fighter's Box Office Success

The newest entry in the Street Fighter movie series has set a new benchmark at the domestic box office, officially exceeding the North American earnings of the 2016 film adaptation, Warcraft. Directed by Duncan Jones, Warcraft wrapped up its domestic run with a total of $47.3 million. In contrast, the latest Street Fighter film, which debuted on October 16, has amassed a domestic total of $48.6 million within just 12 days of its release.

After a robust opening weekend, the film saw a notable drop in daily ticket sales but began to recover in its second week. On its second Discount Tuesday, the film experienced a 54% rise in earnings compared to Monday, generating $1.01 million. This mid-week surge allowed it to reclaim the number two position on the daily box office charts after slipping to fifth place the previous Friday.

Box Office Trends and Global Earnings

As the film progresses through its second week, it is anticipated to surpass the $50 million mark at the domestic box office shortly. While it has already become the highest-grossing film in the Street Fighter franchise's domestic history, it is still aiming for larger financial milestones. On the international front, the film has added $32.7 million to its earnings, pushing its total worldwide gross to over $80 million as of Tuesday.

Despite these impressive figures, the latest release has not yet eclipsed the global earnings of the original 1994 Street Fighter film, which grossed $99.4 million worldwide during its theatrical run. Industry analysts predict that the 2026 film is on a trajectory to surpass the 1994 film's global total soon. The current project remains in theaters, with further updates on its box office performance expected as it continues its run in both North American and international markets.
