Despite the challenges faced by Odysseus in his epic journey, Christopher Nolan's adaptation of The Odyssey is thriving at the Indian box office. On its fifth day of release, the film continues to attract audiences, grossing Rs 92.63 crore and netting Rs 77.65 crore. Featuring a star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Robert Pattinson, the film saw a slight increase in earnings on Tuesday, with collections reaching approximately Rs 8.35 crore nett, marking a 4.4% rise from Monday's Rs 8 crore.


In comparison, Oppenheimer had a first Tuesday collection of Rs 7.47 crore, with a nett of Rs 6.25 crore. The Odyssey debuted with Rs 17.40 crore on Friday, July 17, followed by Rs 22 crore on Saturday and Rs 21.90 crore on Sunday, concluding its opening weekend with a remarkable Rs 61.30 crore net, one of the strongest openings for a Nolan film in India.

According to estimates, English screenings of The Odyssey are leading the box office, generating Rs 6.05 crore with a 63% occupancy across 4,380 shows. Night shows are particularly popular, accounting for 25.67% of ticket sales, followed by afternoon shows at 20.56%, with morning shows seeing the least attendance at 11%.

However, it will face competition from the release of Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 30.
