In a conversation with Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Hemsworth shared the amusing story behind the incident, revealing that he accidentally took his daughter's passport instead of his son's. He remarked, "I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter's passport instead of my son's passport," shedding light on the mix-up that caused their travel woes.

Despite the blunder, Hemsworth tried to get through security by explaining the situation. He humorously noted, "They kind of look the same," but was quickly corrected by his wife, Elsa Pataky, who pointed out, "They don't." The actor recounted his exchange with the security personnel, saying, "This is her," only to be met with the firm response, "That's a boy." Reflecting on the incident, Hemsworth laughed, saying, "So, yeah, that didn't work."
