Chelsea Green's Historic Achievement in WWE

Chelsea Green has made her mark in WWE history as the first-ever women's United States Champion. Despite this significant milestone in her wrestling career, she expressed disappointment due to a last-minute alteration in the plans for her championship victory.

In a recent interview, Chelsea shared that she was originally set to claim the United States Championship at WWE Survivor Series in her hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia, last November. However, WWE decided to remove the championship match from that event.

Chelsea revealed, "I was supposed to win in front of my hometown crowd, but when that was taken away from me, I felt heartbroken. I had my friends and family there, but I wasn't part of the show. It was a tough moment for me."

She added, "When I learned the match would take place in Long Island, my husband's hometown, it softened the blow. At least I could celebrate with my in-laws there."

Chelsea Green's Title Win in Long Island

Chelsea achieved a new career highlight at the Saturday Night's Main Event, where she won the inaugural women's United States Championship by defeating Michin’ Mia Yim on December 14, 2024, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

Since her victory, Chelsea has been dedicated to delivering entertaining performances during her championship reign, which has lasted over 100 days. Although she was unable to secure a match at Wrestlemania 41, she remained proactive in proposing exciting match ideas leading up to the event.
