Charles Dance Joins the DC Universe in The Batman Part II
Charles Dance Enters the DC Universe
Renowned British actor Charles Dance, famous for his role as Tywin Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones, is set to make his debut in the DC Studios universe. He is currently in discussions to join Robert Pattinson in The Batman Part II. This sequel, directed by Matt Reeves, is scheduled to begin filming this spring. Alongside Pattinson, familiar faces such as Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell will reprise their roles as Jim Gordon, Alfred Pennyworth, and the Penguin, respectively. Reports indicate that Dance will portray another formidable patriarch in the film.
Charles Dance to Portray Charles Dent
As reported by Deadline, Dance is expected to take on the role of Charles Dent in the upcoming film. Rumors suggest that Sebastian Stan will play Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent, while Scarlett Johansson is set to portray his wife, Gilda Dent. Fans are eager to see these Marvel stars transition into the DC Universe, especially since Dent is also known as Two-Face in the storyline.
Dance's casting seems fitting, given his acclaim for portraying Tywin Lannister, the patriarch of the Lannister family, known for its ruthless power dynamics in Westeros. The series celebrated its 15th anniversary on April 17. Recently, Dance appeared as Dr. Frankenstein’s father in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein on Netflix and was featured in the Peacock series Day of the Jackal, which has been renewed for a second season.
